WhAt was the renaissance movement?

Dating between the 14th and 17th centuries, the Renaissance was possibly the biggest period of cultural development to occur in Europe following the Middle Ages.  Meaning “rebirth”, the Renaissance displayed a renewed interest and revival with the traditional learning and values of ancient Greco-Roman culture.

Seen as a much-needed reawakening of art and culture, famous Renaissance artists went on to develop a great interest in the beauty of nature and the human body.
