A remarkable fact about Egyptian art is that hieroglyphics were  attached to almost all  of the images produced.

Artists viewed art as serving a functional purpose as opposed to an aesthetic one, so knowing who created an artwork was seen as irrelevant by Egyptian society.

The search for perfect balance and symmetry within ancient Egyptian art reflected the cultural value of harmony, which was a central notion to Egyptian civilization at the time.
