How We Work - Integrated Web Program
The Art in Context reference library is maintained to assist those who wish to distribute and retrieve information about the fine arts. Information is added by curators, museums, galleries-dealers, artists and others who use the library's online publication and distribution services. Those who would like to establish an account to include information can register online.*
The library maintains this infrastructure and subsidizes the costs to contextualize, disseminate, preserve and provide free access to all registered and catalogued information.
Through the cataloguing of images, exhibitions, artists affiliations and other related links Art in Context cross-references artists with museums and galleries-dealers that present their work. The library provides visitors with direct contact information, as provided by each registrant, to assist those interested in public access to collections, exhibitions, the availability and current price of original work, catalogues, biographies and more. The library's Integrated Home Page Program includes links to sites concerning the fine arts throughout the Internet. In addition, this program provides web site design, update and maintenance services.
*All material submitted for inclusion will be reviewed before being posted. The library reserves the right to edit and/or dispose of any material deemed unrelated. For additional information concerning posted material please see the disclaimer.
