- Additional Information -

Organized by the Elvehjem Museum of Art, University of Wisconsin at Madison in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Pakistan.  This exhibition will feature approximately 80 objects from the Indus Valley civilization that flourished between 3000 and 1500 B.C.E. in the area that is now Pakistan.  Sculpture, ceramics metalwork, seals, and other artifacts from highly urbanized centers such as Merh-garh, Harappa, and Mohenjo-Daro will be organized to highlight the seminal role of Indus Valley civilization in the development and cross-fertilization of Middle Eastern and Indian sub-continental civilizations.
